The show stars the real-life duo of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, who play fictionalized versions of themselves. The show follows the adventures of Flight of the Conchords, a two-man band from New Zealand, as its members seek fame and success in New York City. We don't learn until the end credits that the guys participated in the 'man, man lady' threesome - when Jemaine says, 'We agreed to never talk about this.' All in all this is one of the better episodes of the series, and more than makes up for last week's lackluster episode.Flight of the Conchords is an American sitcom that was first shown on HBO on June 17, 2007. The guys now fight over whether they're going to do it at all, confusing each other repeatedly and then trying to escape and failing. This leads to a hilarious sequence as the guys fight over who gets to have the threesome, not realizing only Summer wants to have one - with the two of them. When Bret snaps out of his trip, things get even more complicated as Summer says she wants to have a threesome. This leads to one of the funnier sequences the Conchords have had, with Jemaine and Bret prancing around singing about the 'Prince of Parties,' while Mel has drinks with a body that shares both the Conchords' heads and Murrays, with devil horns, sneers at them. Bret tries to switch the acid with the torn edge of a matchbook, but takes the acid by accident. Jemaine manages to reduce his dose to 1/16th, which barely seems to affect him. Ultimately, the guys end up at Summer's place, where they take acid. There's some really funny stuff here with Mel, as she explains how she managed to get her husband, Doug, to marry her - which included restraining orders and various other things before she 'finally got what she wanted.' Bret later finds Doug hiding in the basement playing solitaire on a computer because 'It's Mel's special day.' This dynamic, which has been slowly revealed over the course of the season, is very funny and provides for some really great moments.

The Conchords bring Summer and Rain along to the dinner, much to Mel's displeasure. The guys borrow 'cool' clothes from Dave who gives them a t-shirt of a mouse having sex with another mouse while in a mousetrap, and a woman's blouse which Dave refers to as 'casual Prince.' None of these things come naturally to the guys, especially since beer makes Bret have to 'go to the toilet.' Things gets interesting when the guys are supposed to go out on a double date with Summer and Rain, but have to let Mel cook for them because she won the fan club contest. It includes the lyrics: 'You sexy hermaphrodite lady-man ladies, with your sexy lady bits and your sexy man bits too, even you must be in to you!' Murray encourages the guys to be more 'rock and roll' which includes possibly having a strand of hay in their mouth at all times, and drinking beer. The songs get underway with 'All the Ladies in the World' - which is the Conchords' spontaneous tribute to the hot girls they see at the world music gig. There a number of great moments and both songs are stand-outs in this episode. Mel, previously their number one-and-only fan, doesn't take well to the newcomers, Summer and Rain. Murray feels the guys are perfectly suited for it since 'New Zealand is part of the world.' They perform 'Who Wants to Rock the Party?' which might be the only song we've seen them perform whenever they have an actual 'gig.' This performance actually earns them two new fans, thus tripling the fan base. The Conchords perform another gig, this time at a world music festival.
